Superquinn buys Four Provinces & Il MondoPosted Sunday, December 10, 2006According to the Sunday Business Post, Superquinn have bought the Four Provinces pub and Il Mondo nightclub, with the intention of building a supermarket on the site. That'll change the character of that part of the village a lot. Superquinn chairman Simon Burke [...] said that the company planned to build a 929 square metre supermarket on the site, and hoped to open it late next year or in early 2008. The purchase was completed on Friday. Burke said it was likely that some apartments or offices would be developed on top of the supermarket, but this was subject to talks with Dublin City Council planners.
