Charleston Road Listed BuildingPosted Friday, August 08, 2008The Dublin People has an article up about the entry of 34 Charleston Road on the Record of Protected Structures. It seems the owner wasn't correctly notified when the building was listed, and in any case, says that the house has "no particular architectural merit; that there was no historical association with a famous person or event; that it was not part of an interesting group of buildings; that it did not illustrate any point of social or economic history and that it was not built with any technological innovation or virtuosity." Dublin City Council seem to differ. posted by Drew Shiel | 1:53 AM
